The late Mzee Jackson Kibor's will was for the first time made public, with details indicating that his three wives will get an equitable share of his multi-million empire.

During a family meeting held on Friday, May 6, it was revealed that the tycoon had over 5,000 acres of land in Trans Nzoia and Uasin Gishu counties, and other parcels scattered all over Eldoret.

Additionally, the will allocated 200 cares of land to each of his sons, while his daughters were allocated 100 acres each.

Most notable, Kibor only left part of his inheritance to one of his grandchildren, Kipchirchir Kibor - the son of Phillip Kibor, the tycoon's eldest son.

Speaking to the media, Philip disclosed that the family was shocked after learning of Mzee Kibor's property that was unknown to them.

Philip expressed that Kibor started distributing his wealth months before his demise.

He stated that most of the family members were contended with the distribution of wealth, stating that they will seek help from the elders should any disagreement between them erupt.

“There might or might not be people who are not contented. This was a confirmation of what Mzee had previously told us. There were a few things that had been added to what he had told us earlier.

"The will was typical of Mzee (Kibor) and those, of course, who will not be happy with his will have a free hand to go and contest in a court of law,” he stated.

On April 27, Yunita Kibor - one of Mzee Kibor's wives - lamented over plans to block her from inheriting her husband's property. She alleged that there was a plan to distribute the tycoon's wealth among her co-wives leaving her family out of the multi-million empire.

"I was surprised to be served with property restrictions filed by some of Mzee Kibor's children which were interestingly issued on April 1, the same day we were burying him.

"My children are still young, and I need to take care of them. They deserve their rightful share of property left behind by their father. But if they lose their inheritance, their future will be bleak," she stated.

Kibor died on March 17 at an Eldoret hospital after a short illness.
