Carole Karuga

Carole Karuga is the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Kenya Private Sector Alliance (KEPSA).

She holds a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics and Sociology from the University of Nairobi and a Masters Degree in Public Administration and International Affairs from Bowling Green State University, Ohio, USA. 

Adil Popat

Adil Popat is a renowned business person who has had successes in the motor and hospitality industries. 

He is currently an executive chairman at Simba Corporation. The company is a diversified entity dealing with motor leasing, hospitality, and real estate among others. 

Sitawa Wafula.

Wafula is a three-time award winning mental health and epilepsy crusader.

Some of her outstanding accolades include the Google Africa Connected Winner 2014, the

2013 Activist of the Year and the 2013 East Africa Youth Philanthropist.

Hussein Khalid

Hussein Khalid, Executive Director of HAKI, amplified his voice during the June 2024 Gen Z protests. His activism led to his arrest in October while honouring youths who lost their lives during the protests.

On 29th November 2024, Khalid was named Human Rights Defender of the Year at the HRD Awards. He was honoured alongside Boniface Mwangi and Haniffa Adan for their roles in the protests that resulted in the withdrawal of the controversial Finance Bill 2024.

Phyllis Omido

Phyllis Omido became famous after her spirited fight against a coast-based lead smelter, consequently leading to its closure. 

She came to learn about the hazards the smelter posed after she was employed by the company as a manager for the plant’s community relations.
